Who can forget their most memorable hit "WILD THING" ?

The Troggs"WILD THING" STORY : A band called "The Wild One"s in 1965 sang and recorded a songTroggs poster called Wild Thing. The song was written by Chip Taylor, who was a brother of actor John Voight. Record producer Larry Page liked the song and in a rushed 10 minute studio session The Troggs recorded "Wild Thing", and "With A Girl Like You". The Troggs were not yet a professional band. Singer Reg Ball (who later changed his last name to Presley) was a bricklayer by trade. While on the job one day he heard "Wild Thing" played on the radio. As soon as the dj said the song was climbing the charts ,Reg quit his job. three months later they were on tour.
"Wild Thing" sent them to fame and the song is featured on most of their albums , but The Troggs was not a "one hit wonder band".
Some people now days consider "The Troggs" ,the first British punk band. I think they fall into the "psychedelia " category.
The Troggs did provide some controversy . Many of their songs were banned from radio airplay. The ESTABLISHMENT considered them dangerous to the morals of the young listeners. What would they have done to rappers in those days ?
From 1966 the members were , Reg Presley, Cris Britton ,Pete Staples, Ronnie Bond (d.1992), Richard Moore, Colin Fletcher, Tony Murray.
The Troggs still perform to this day, and rock-on with two of their band members from the 1960's.Oringinal founding members Reg Presley , and Chris Britton ,plus new members , Pete Lucas and Dave Maggs.

What you may not know about Reg Presley
He has been a UFO and Crop Circle researcher for many years, and has published a book called 'Wild Things They Don't Tell Us'.  His passion for the subject shows through in the book, and his candid presentation at the City Museum in Gloucester left no one in any doubt about his commitment to finding the Truth.

In this sensational book, Reg details the wild things that he believes the government secretly know about, but will go to the most extraordinary lengths to stop you and me finding out.  He provides utterly compelling evidence to suggest that our planet has been visited, on a number of well-documented occasions, by visitors from faraway galaxies.

The presence of these alien travellers manifests itself in many ways, including the previously unexplained crop-circles that appear all over our country as if from nowhere.  Reg also reveals his major scientific ideas that suggest that the earth is gradually changing shape - a discovery that will have dramatic consequences in the not-too-distant future.  Reg Presley's notions - like most of the truly groundbreaking theories throughout history - may seem incredible.  But read his book, and you might just find yourself wondering if the faceless authorities who control our lives are letting us know everything - or if there really are wild things they don't tell us.
